Accordion Repair Shop & Lessons San Jose was founded in 1984 under the name ‘Gibson’. Since the owner and teacher, Valdet Jakubovic, came to the United States from Ex-Yugoslavia, he gave it a new name and a new location. He was apprenticed to top-of-the-line European accordion makers, having been fascinated by the instruments since childhood. He has repaired and handled thousands of accordions over nearly forty-two years of work and training.
